Prof Peter Lim is a pioneer of men’s health medicine in Singapore and the Medical Director of the International Centre for Men’s Health. Over a career spanning five decades, he has built a practice focused on minimally invasive solutions for prostate conditions, erectile dysfunction and continence.
He trained under a Government of Singapore Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital, specialising in continence surgery and sexual medicine, and later trained at the Medical University of Turku, Finland in MRI-guided Tulsa Pro® — a directional therapeutic ultrasound that treats early-stage prostate cancer with zero surgery and no radiation.
He previously headed the Department of Urology at Changi General Hospital and the Division of Urology at Toa Payoh Hospital, and continues as Visiting Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He is Adjunct Professor (Men’s Health) at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia, and Honorary Professor (Urology & Andrology) at the Naval Medical School, Indonesia.
Prof Lim is the Founder President of the Society for Men’s Health (Singapore) and the Asian Society for Female Urology, President of the Society for Continence (Singapore), and author of numerous peer-reviewed publications including the textbook Men’s Health (Springer Verlag, London, 2013).
